Through our 30 years of experience working with 18 HBCUs, the Texas Association of Developing Colleges, and the United Negro College Fund, we understand the constraints under which many HBCUs operate. A Little Bit of History

As Vice President of Marketing for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Mel Shaw created and produced the Lou Rawls Telethon, which has raised more than $500 million in annual gifts to date. He is nationally recognized for his work in creating and designing programs that combine marketing and fundraising and increase revenue and alumni/volunteer engagement for HBCUs. Mel’s strategies create involvement and opportunities for corporate partnerships.

We help our clients build their fundraising capacity and infrastructure using existing staff where possible. We orient board members and trustees to their roles and responsibilities in the area of fundraising. We work closely with board chairs and presidents. We listen and we coach.
