Non-Profits
Fundraising and Non-Profit Organizations
We believe in the important work conducted by grassroots, emerging and
established non-profit organizations. The value of the non-profit sector
cannot be over-emphasized. Schools, medical programs, mentoring, arts
education, scientific research, land conservancy, feeding of the hungry,
housing for the homeless – the list of services and the types of
advocacy engaged in by non-profits is needed and often ahead-of-its
time.
Our
Mission is your Success
At Saad & Shaw we welcome the opportunity to partner with non-profit
leaders. We work directly with board members and executive directors.
Our mission is your success. That means we are here to work with you in
a way that best meets your needs.
-
We can provide coaching, board and
staff training, or proposal writing services.
-
We can help you write
your case for support.
-
We can survey your donors and prospective
supporters to learn how they view your work and how they would like to
partner with or provide funding.
-
We can assess your current fundraising capacity
and infrastructure and provide guidance how to best apply valuable
fundraising resources.
-
We can create fundraising strategies for your
organization or a comprehensive fund development plan.
At all times we are
committed to keeping the FUN in fundraising. We like our clients. We
believe in their work. We keep busy thinking about what unique
approaches our clients can use to advance their goals. We think outside
the box for you and help you best leverage your assets. We are honest
and straight-forward with our clients. Our goal is help you secure the
resources you need to fulfill your mission. That could be raising more
money. Attracting new board members. Or better managing current
resources.
Working
Together
Let us work with
you in a way that will meet your needs and help advance your goals.
Counsel on DemandSM
– Let us help you meet your fundraising challenges and manage your fund
development resources and staff most effectively. Counsel on DemandSM
provides flexible, low-cost fund development coaching and strategy
sessions for executive directors and development directors. You get four
hours of on-call expertise each month. Call on us when you need us and
we are there to support you with solutions. This service can be used for
proposal and document reviews, strategy sessions, coaching and
mentoring, or the development of a fundraising plan. This low-cost,
point-of-entry service is ideal for organizations with limited budgets.
For others it can be the first step in preparing for a feasibility
study, creation of a campaign plan, or as a follow-up service for
continuing clients.
Research and Feasibility
Studies – Before you launch a new fundraising campaign let us survey
your prospective donors, volunteer leadership, and community
stakeholders to learn how they respond to your proposed campaign and its
case for support. This research can help you ensure your campaign is
launched at the right time and targets the right people with the right
case for support.
Creation of Fundraising
Strategies and Campaign Plans – After conducting campaign research or a
feasibility study we can create a multi-year campaign plan to guide and
coordinate your fundraising activities and strategies. Such a plan is a
unique tool for engaging volunteer leadership, managing and evaluating
your cultivation and solicitation strategies, and measuring campaign
progress. Each plan is designed to take advantage of our client’s unique
strengths and to help address perceived challenges or obstacles to
fundraising success.
Training and Workshops –
You let us know the area in which you need training and we will create a
custom workshop designed to engage attendees and get the results you are
seeking. All workshops are interactive, include pre-workshop “homework”
and post-workshop materials that attendees can use to support their
work. Workshops can be designed for staff, board members, volunteers or
a combined audience. Frequently requested topics include: 1. How to
Solicit A Gift 2. Prerequisites for Fundraising Success 3. The Role of
the Board in Fundraising 4. Creating a Cross Functional Fund Development
Team 5. Creating an Annual Fundraising Plan 6. Developing Your Case for
Support 7. Preparing for your Capital Campaign 8. Getting Started with
Proposal Writing
Intensive Implementation
Services – We are ready to work with you, hand-in-hand, to guide your
fundraising and campaign implementation. We become a member of your
team, help coach and orient your staff, board members and volunteer
leadership. We review your proposals, guide the creation of your case
for support, attend meetings with you, and create strategies to help you
take advantage of opportunities as you arise. Implementation services
can be secured for two-to-six days per month.
